Description
Original early 1970s lp on Epic (BN 26510) Susan Carter – Wonderful Deeds & Adventures. Scarce lp with some amazing tracks.Several of the tunes here are very similar in feel to the Chris Harwood lp.There’s an absolutey incredible folk funk club track called ‘Jam Session:Cruising With The Blues’.This track is just so good.Kicks off with tight beat and repetitive piano riff then Susan’s superb vocal comes in.Dope bassline and sax and the drums get progressively funkier, real loud super tight and crisp breaks. Then halfway through Susan stops singing and we get a wicked sax solo over the top of the beats and piano. This track really needs to be heard as it’s a definate killer tune for the djs.But that’s not all because there a several more awesome tracks here including Old Country,Young Girl Blues,Temptation ‘Bout To Get Me.All of these tracks are the closest sound I’ve heard to Chris Harwood.Amazing stuff.Beautiful vocals and superb instrumentation.Jazzy, bluesy, funky, folky all together an outstanding lp. So if you’re into that Chris Harwood sound then you really must check this out too, highly recommended.Very scarce lp too. Record excellent+.Sleeve excellent+.
