TELL HIM / A Time For Us - DJ PROMO (RCA Victor 8863) Out of Los Angeles, this 1966 outing is the third of the three singles issued by Miss Wallis on the RCA Victor label. Written and arranged by DAVID GATES, 'Tell Him' has a percussive, Spectorian sound with fantastic drum work, heavy bass, clever starts and stops and sweet, girly background vocals by The BLOSSOMS. Supposedly, Suzy Wallis was brought to the attention of RCA exec's by LORNE GREENE in 1965 when she was only 13 years old. Quite a mature, powerful and soulful set of pipes for a young girl of that age. According to her brother in St. Louis, she now has a degree from California Institute of The Arts, and is still singing in Los Angeles today under her real name, Suzanne Wallach and amazingly still sounds the same. A company by the name of 'Flying Poodle Productions' has a film in the works about her life then and now entitled, 'Little Things Like That'. The labels of this disc are free of marks and the vinyl is clean and shiny with only a few scuffs that do not affect play. Plays LOUD and STRONG. An over all, VG+.
