One of the most epic bands from 4AD's enigmatic early 90s era, Swallow's big reissue comes at a time when there's a whole new generation of music listeners waiting for bands that use industrial amounts of reverb and flirt around the dream pop/shoegaze tag to emerge. All that surely making this package something that's surely not going to hang about on the shelves too long. With the Blown vinyl you get their first two albums, Blow and Blowback, reconstructed from the original 24 track tape recordings and remixed. It's been freshly remastered by Anne Taegart at Dubplates and Mastering Berlin. The results? Absolutely staggering. The sounds from the London band hit you like a freight train and are arguably an improvement on the original.
