Description
1971 Trend 6480 002 UK LP SWEGAS 'Child Of Light' stereo with 1Y1 and 2Y1 matrices on the dead wax run-offs denoting a first pressing.
Sleeve is EXC+ Vinyl is NM
The gatefold sleeve has been placed in a bespoke pvc wraparound cover and probably at the time of original purchase. As such it's protected the sleeve over the decades but sacrificed its' own condition via wear and glue separation to keep the cardboard in a very nice and clean shape. I'm giving the sleeve itself 8.75 /10 or EXC+ for condition.
On my scale the flat and shiny disc reads 142g so is a nice medium weight. Both labels are in super shape as pictured and the vinyl playing surfaces are 9 /10 or near mint in my opinion. And I can see only a single spindle 'spider trace' at the hole of Side 2 and none on Side 1 so I reckon the original owner gave Side 1 a first spin, found the music wasn't to their taste and put the record back in the inner sleeve!
For the purposes of this listing I did give the record a quick sample test spin. It plays great with the odd click due to dust I believe and the music itself is awesome.
Finally, the original poly-lined inner sleeve is intact and clean yet has creasing and glue age-browning due to age.
