TCHAIKOVSKY ‘1812 OVERTURE - CAPRICCIO ITALIEN  - MARCHE SLAVE’ KENNETH ALWYN, THE LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA 1957 DECCA SXL 2001 ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING DEEP GROOVE WIDE BAND WITH FLIPBACK SLEEVE VINYL LP 


Sleeve Condition: Near Mint; some minor laminate lifting from opening front edge.  Otherwise as good as they come, clean, bright and with only a hint of ringwear to the front and entirely free from stickers, writing or marking. 


Record Condition: Ex+ to Near Mint.  There are a couple of insignificant and purely cosmetic, sleeve withdrawal marks, not stylus scratches, which have neither cut nor damaged the vinyl; nor do they in any way affect the aural performance.  The record has clearly been played very few times in its life, there being little evidence of centring marks around the spindle hole.  It plays flawlessly without a hint of distortion or peaking.   They don’t come much better than this.  Sleeve and record are about the best I’ve seen.  Matrix numbers in the dead wax are, Side 1 = ZAL – 3975 – 2E,  Side 2 =  ZAL – 3976 – 1E.
