CAPRICCIO ITALIEN ~ MARCHE SLAVE
KENNETH ALWYN
with THE LONDON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Rare UK first press ED1 WBg Stereo record on the black/silver Decca record label with "ORIGINAL RECORDING" text. The catalogue number is SXL 2001. This record was released in 1958 and is the first ever STEREO release by the Decca company whose early stereo release were and still are a benchmark in recorded sound. If you have never heard any of these early FFSS recordings you are in for a real treat.
This was recorded at The Kingsway Hall, London on the 2nd and 8th May 1958 and released in August 1958
Please read ALL of the following very carefully
These sleeves are very flimsy. The early first flip back fully laminated sleeve is in VG+ condition with no splits and no writing There is a slight tear at the opening (see photo) and only this prevents a higher grade. Beautiful straight undamaged spine The record comes complete with its original FFSS inner sleeve. Comprehensive notes on rear of sleeve.
The disc plays as excellent+ which means no nasty pops or clicks, no repeats and no jumps no hiss. Noiseless
THESE RECORDS ARE GRADED AURALLY AND VISUALLY.
I PLAY ALL MY RECORDS IN THEIR ENTIRITY AND DO NOT RELY ON A GUESS AS TO HOW THEY SOUND
