Description
Tchaikovsky - Symphony No. 6 in B Minor "Pathetique"
Jean Martinon/ The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra
(Decca SXL 2004 UK LP 1958)
This is a UK original Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated flipback sleeve which has a blue border on the rear. It has an extremely thin spine. There is also a printed date stamp on the bottom flipback (P.R.B. 8/ 59). This means that the sleeve was printed in August 1959. It comes with its original "FFSS" Stereophonic polythene-lined company inner sleeve.
The record has ED1 "wide band" Decca labels which are grooved also. They have the "Original Recordings By" text. It has first press ZAL-4039-7K and ZAL-4040-3E matrix numbers. I have some other rare UK classical records for sale.
Sleeve: There is some mild to more moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is a very small bt of residue, from another sleeve, on the front bottom. There is some mild creasing wear to the bottom flipback. There is some light to mild ringwear. VG+ condition.
Vinyl: Light to mild sleeve rubs can be viewed under a strong light. The polythene inner sleeve has left some mild to more moderate marks on the vinyl also. VG condition. There is a small number written on both labels, it hardly notices. Otherwise, light spindle wear. I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG+ overall and Near Excellent in some areas. There is some light or very mild crackle in some quieter passages. The company inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light to mild wear but there are no seam splits.Grading adheres to “Record Collector” specifications. I shall use good quality packaging (proper vinyl mailers & two card dividers).
