Description
The VPO sounds excellent as always on this copy of SXL 2004. The 3rd movement is particularly well recorded here. High frequency surface noise is present, particularly at the beginning of Side 1, from 2.15 - 2.55 & 8.05 - 8.15 of Band 2 & finally during the last 20 seconds of side 2. This surface noise is in the realms of hiss & is not overly intrusive. There are no ticks but very occasionally quiet static pops are audible. Visually both sides of the record look really good with a couple of short, feint scratches on Side 1 & a few superficial scuffs on Side 2 visible under strong light. The cover is in excellent condition with one transparent mark (about 3 cm across) near the bottom left hand corner of the front cover where the clairfoil seems to have been damaged, possibly by heat. You have to inspect the sleeve pretty closely to spot this. The bottom flipback has lifted slightly on the left hand side (see picture) & has a tear of less than 1cm. The clairfoil is just beginning to lift on the left hand opening of the back cover. Overall this is a very crisp copy of a very early pressing. Includes original dust sleeve. Every Thursday over the coming weeks I will be listing more records. I have many highly sought after titles in excellent condition which I would like as many buyers out there to see. All records come in custom mailers with 2 stiffeners. Records are removed from sleeves before posting & will come in a brand new dust sleeve. Records & sleeves will also be protected by a polythene sleeve I'll include as part of the sale. I will only send via either 'second class recorded delivery' within the UK or 'international signed for' (which includes £41 insurance) for other customers.
