Original UK LP
Decca (SXL 2006)
Very rare original UK Stereo issue on the black Decca wide band label with silver print. Comes housed in a front laminated flipback sleeve. This copy is still in nice collectable condition and more importantly the playback is very nice. We had six rare classical LP's to auction but after cleaning and playing them all we are only offering this one up for sale due to the others not playing as well as we would like. Rest assured, we are fussy when it comes to playback.

The sleeve is in vg condition showing some wear, but still a solid copy. It has part of the top flipback missing, ringwear and some small laminate lift and the odd small laminate crease.
The labels are in near mint condition with just the slightest touch of spindle wear and just a few spindle traces on each side.
The vinyl is in vg++ condition. Still has its original sheen with only light signs of being played. Under a very bright halogen light i can make out the odd light scuff mark and just a very few wispy lines. Does not look overplayed, looks to have had minimal and careful play only.
Playback easily grades vg++ also. I'm tempted to grade playback as excellent, but believe its best to err on the side of caution. Side one has hardly any crackle at all. Just a touch in the very quiet parts, but more often than not the quiet passages have no crackle. There were also a few dull pops, mostly during the first third, but no loud clicks on my deck.
Side two started with some low level crackle but that soon dissapears and then the rest of side two plays even better than side one. Also has the odd dull pop. All in all, this was a very nice listening experience. The record shows no evidence of groove wear, so i would imagine that it was played on quality equipment. It came from a different source than the records we threw away.
It has been cleaned on a professional cleaning machine and played on our sensitive set up with a Nagaoka Cartridge and Nagaolka Elliptical Stylus.
Please note that this grading has nothing to do with the age of the record, we grade all records the same whether they are 40 years old or 4 days old.
Condition
Sleeve: VG (No splits, writing or bends. Small piece of the top flipback missing, ringwear and some small laminate lift and creasing) Record: VG++ (still has its original sheen with only light signs of being played, No scratches) Our grading is strict so as not to disappoint, we have been selling on ebay since 1998 & know how important this is. Grading of records is done with the record angled under a 100 Watt bulb. Scans are of actual item up for auction. All records are packed securely & most importantly packed outside of the picture sleeve (in a plain inner sleeve) so as to avoid seam splits during shipping.SHIPPING COSTS

Near Mint
Almost mint.Very minor paper scuffs and very little else can appear on the vinyl. This will most likely have occurred during packaging, or removing the record from the inner sleeve but obviously it had been handled with extreme care.Any flaw should be very hard to see. The cover should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork should be as close to perfect as can be.
Excellent
An excellent condition for vinyl will allow minor scuffs (Scuffs lay on top of the grooves) which are visible but only slightly.The wear should be minimal.The play should be close to perfect as well. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear. Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show a little white, meaning slight wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs.
VG++
As Excellent but with a larger number of scuffs, maybe a couple of hairlines (very light scratch that can't be felt) or a couple of marks. Sound quality should still be very close to that of an Excellent record with only minor crackle in quiet segments only, NO scratches that can be felt. Cover as Excellent but there may be a small seam split on the cover, or a very minimal amount of writing like a name written in small writing or a number. A VG++ record should be an acceptable record to live with if you aren't looking to pay the price of a Near Mint copy.
