Description

Very rare Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique. The Paris Conservatoire Orchestra conducted by Ataulfo Argenta. Decca 1st Stereo pressing, ED1 wide band grooved. ‘Original recording by’ text. Come with original inner sleeve.

1958 Decca Records (Cat.No.SXL2009). Condition: Cover: Good- / Disc: Good+

The cover has some peeling of the laminate and a small tear to the bottom right corner. There is also some small amounts of wear to top and bottom spines. Graded as Good-

The record itself has numerous light surface marks. None of these can be felt by lightly running a finger over them apart from the imperfection described below.  At the start of the 1st Movement there are approx 8-10 clicks/pops and a couple more further into the movement. There is also what appears to be a very small raised imperfection in the pressing which results in approx 10 clicks/pops during Movement 2. Other than this there is the odd crackle and background crackle during the quiet parts but nothing significant.  Overall graded as Good+.Please check out my other auctions as i am selling a large number of rare classical Lp's
