THE PARIS CONSERVATOIRE ORCHESTRA
Very early UK 1st pressing on the ED1 WBg Decca record label
with "ORIGINAL RECORDING" text.
This is the very earliest sleeve with serpentine flipback
and blue borderline and unboxed Decca logo. .
The catalogue number is SXL 2009 and was recorded at
La Maison de la Mutualite, Paris between 11-13 November 1957
and released in September 1958
Beautiful near flawless sounding record that really demonstrates the sound quality of these early Decca stereo recordings
The sleeve is one of those flimsy ones beloved of late 50's Decca
and has stood up remarkably well over the last 50 years or so
No major problems, barely any line creases which is remarkable
considering just how easily damaged this sleeve can be. No ringwear to speak of which again is exceptional having had a heavy duty disc stored in it for well over 50 years.
There is a piece of applied tape at the bottom of the opening ,
which is easily removed (see photo), has done its job of protecting this vulnerable corner
To summarise:- a beautiful sounding crystal clear reproduction of the fabled Decca stereo sound that even today is hard to better. A sleeve which considering its frailty ranks as one of the best I have seen. Sure to appeal to the most discerning of collectors

NEAR MINT audio inspection has revealed no scratches or scuffs on the playing surface. The record may have been played but is undamaged. The jacket will be clean and unmarked with only the slightest wear.
EXCELLENT audio inspection has revealed no sounding scratches on the playing surface, but there may be a few light crackles and/or tics. The jacket might have slight wear and/or creasing or fading.
