Description
Very sought after ED1 of this title. I've sold many rare classical titles over the years but I've only just starting putting a few of them on line again because I know just how much time is involved in correctly presenting and listing these rare early Stereo presses.
I was delighted to find this very recently. However on carefully removing the record from it's correct innerI instantly noticed a big scuff on Side 2 and 3 or 4 other marks.
Side 1 looks clean, no label spindle trails. Seems to play very well too. As there look to be no issues at all, I haven't fully play checked. It has not been professionally cleaned so expect at least some crackle etc.
Having listened to Side 2, the very large scuff line doesn't seem to have much listening impact. See last two pictures for close ups. However another mark causes a few pops then repeating clicks for multiple rotations Band 2 into Band 3.
There are no skips or jumps on my deck but mildly annoying aforementioned clicks/ticks.
I will grade Vinyl VG. Side 2 obvious marks causing audio defects.
Sleeve is fine, minor wear to lower front and beginnings of laminate loss to rear but not much. Clean. VG+
Given the cost of an Excellent or better copy of this LP I think I've been reasonable on the starting minimum bid price given the condition here
