First UK stereo pressing on the wide band grooved
black/silver Decca record label
with "ORIGINAL RECORDING" text

The catalogue number is SXL 2086 and
was released in May 1960

This was one of Ansermet's earliest stereo recordings and is
not to be confused with his later stereo version that was done with
the OSR and was recorded more than six years later.
This one is a much rarer item than its successor, as it was deleted
from the catalogues soon after the new version hit the market.
It was recorded in the Maison de la Mutualité, Paris.
