Description

                  PLEASE READ THIS LISTING CAREFULLY.

Before i start the main listing, i would just like to say that i am under no doubt whatsoever that this 2 lp set is authentic in its nature of one WB and one NB lp,both of which are unusual in there design, both are different to the normal wb and nb labels.i have put photos of both on the listing and will go into more detail on the item condition section of this listing.

      DECCA SXL 2092-3. 2 LP SET.STEREO.WITH BOOKLET.

RECORD 1 IS WIDE BAND (ENGLISH DECCA 3 ).ZAL-4221-3W,ZAL-4224-2W.

RECORD 2 IS NARROW BAND (ENGLISH DECCA 4 ).ZAL-4222-2W,ZAL-4223-2W.

   TCHAIKOVSKY. THE NUTCRACKER,COMPLETE BALLET.

      ANSERMET.L'ORCHESTRE DE LA SUISSE ROMANDE.

CONDITION.

BOX-EXCELLENT.light cornertip wear.

BOOKLET-EXCELLENT(+).clean and complete.

RECORDS-NEAR MINT.both play perfectly.superb sound quality.

LABELS.

RECORD 1-WIDE BAND.clean and complete, the label on both sides has original recording by at 10 o'clock, normally on wb labels this is made in england.i have seen others like this in the past.

RECORD 2-NARROW BAND.clean and complete, the interesting thing about this label is the inclusion on both side of the  DECCA Regd trade mark notes logo, see photo. This is not normal to the nb label, normally this is not present.i have not seen one like this before,i'm sure its not unique, but not common.

In conclusion i have no doubt that this is how the set left the factory, the matrix numbers are correct,it would seem that this set was made on the change over from WB to NB form.

This recording is probably the best ever put onto vinyl, and this is a chance to own it,in superb playing condition, for a fraction of the price you would normally have to pay.

See grading below

Special note for classical vinyl.

classical vinyl by it's nature of high and low, even silent passages is not ideally suited to the vinyl surface, which is seldom quiet in its playback.however the quality of the recording on a lot of older vinyl is second to none.

Every piece of vinyl that i offer for sale has been played through by me and cleaned on my moth record cleaning machine. As much as i love listening to old classical recordings,i find many just to noisey for my liking.

What i am saying is that if i am listing it,it's the best i can get it,i will not list noisey crackle filled records however great they look.unless they are very rare.It is very easy to list lovely shiney vinyl as near mint, but it seldom is,so most i will list as excellent, acceptable to me,but not with out some surface noise from the vinyl,if of course it has none, then it is without doubt, near mint.

GRADING.

MINT-NEW

NEAR MINT-Near perfect

EXCELLENT-A Superb player,no clicks, ticks, knocks, jumps, may have light surface niose.

VERY GOOD-More surface niose, the record will still play to a excellent sound quality, may have  a single jump.

GOOD,Record  will have a lot of surface niose, may click, tick, knock or jump more than once.

FAIR-Of use  only as a collection gap filler. The record will simply be rubbish as a playing format.

POOR-Broken.

I grade my records on now they play, covers ect i will grade on a record to record basis.I may upgrade a record if i think it better than my standard grading, but i will say this on the listing.

Many old records suffer with surface niose, this is not scratching, the earlier the record the more likely it is to have it.You can lesson this  by cleaning the record by hand or by using a cleaning machine, also the needle  and equipment you play them on also can lesson or harden the effect.useing and antistatic cleaning cloth before play will also help.Surface niose is very possible on mint or near mint records as well as any other.

many  records old and new have price stickers and promo stickers attached,i find that, unless the cover  is laminated, its best to leave them there, after all its better to look at that ,than damage caused by removing them.

I will be fair and honest with record grading, however you may feel that i have it wrong,if so please contact me directly,i'm not perfect, record grading is not perfect.i would hope that a record that i am happy with someone else would be to.
