Description
This is another sale from a my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.
1959 UK stereo pressing on Decca records of SXL 2157 of Beethoven's Septet in E Flat Major op. 20 performed by members of the Vienna Octet . Members of the Vienna octet are Willy Boskovsky (violin), Gunther Breitenbach (viola), Nikolaus Hübner (cello), Johann Krump (double bass), Alfred Boskovsky (clarinet), Josef Veleba (horn), Rufolf Hanzl (bassoon).
Label is grooved wide band. Sleeve is a scalloped flip back, note there is a tear (see photo). Record and inner sleeve are both in really nice condition, visually near mint. It plays on my Linn Sondek virtually perfectly, no skips, jumps or repeated clicks, just little crackles and occasional pop in places.
Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.
