GRADING

SLEEVE: EX

The sleeve is fantastic! The edges and spine are sharp and clean, the front nice and vivid and bright. The rear shows a little uniform, age related discolouration but nothing really worth mentioning.

RECORD: EX

Under very bright halogen light the record shows some very light, wispy surface marks and a couple of hairlines. There are no feelable marks. The record shows a little light mottling from the inner sleeve. This might be removable by professional cleaning.

The above record grading is based on Record Collector magazine’s system (I do not use NM – EX+ is my highest grading for unsealed records):

Mint (M) Sealed

Excellent + (EX+) The record / sleeve should be in perfect condition.

Excellent (EX) The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good (VG) / Very Good + (VG+) The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good (G) / Good + (G+) The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

Fair (F) The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
