SXL 2246 wb+g Ed.1 – MAAG : MENDELSSOHN IN SCOTLAND
1960 Decca stereo recording with wide-band & groove label, Edition 1, catalogue number SXL 2246 entitled "Mendelssohn in Scotland". Peter Maag conducting the London Symphony Orchestra in Mendelssohn’s Symphony No.3 in A minor "The Scotch" Op.56, and Overture "The Hebrides" (Fingal’s Cave) Op.26.
The disc has been professionally cleaned and is very shiny. There is a small very light inaudible scratch on side 1. There is a light scratch on side 2 but this is inaudible.– both sides play perfectly without audible defects. The sleeve is rather scruffy with a 2-cm split at bottom right corner and considerable creasing, plus record impress and discolouration
