This Auction is for The LP Prokofiev Classical Symphony in D Major - Ernest Ansermet conducting L'Orchestre De La Suisse Romande.

1961 Pressing on the Decca Records Label - SXL 2292 - Matrix No's -ZAL 5142 1E & ZAL 5143 1E.

Side 1: "Classical Symphony" in D Major, Op.25 - 1st mov. Allegro, 2nd mov. Larghetto, 3rd mov. Gavotte - Non troppo allegro, 4th mov. Molto vivace. March and Sherzo from "The Love Of The Three Oranges".

Side 2: GLINKA - Kamarinskaia - Fantasy, BORODIN - In The Steps Of Central Asia, GLINKA - A Life For The Czar ( Ivan Susanin) - Overture.

Vinyl - Vg+ - a few light hairlines visible, Plays very good throughout though with some light static crackle in places - may benefit from a proffesional clean - no skips jumps etc.

Sleeve - Vg - Provided in original sleeve which has some age related wear although nothing major - couple of small splits across the edge seam and a small sticker on rear top corner - see pics.

Vinyl - Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.

Sleeve - Very Good: Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
