Description

This is another sale from a my collection of classical records, which includes early stereo rarities on Decca, Columbia, HMV and RCA.

Recording First Published 1962 UK stereo pressing on Decca records of SXL 2313 of Herold-Lanchbery La Fill Mal Gardée  performed by Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, conducted by John Lanchbery.

This is a Decca wide band 1st label, grooved with "Original Recording By" at 10 O' clock  The matrix numbers engraved on the run-out are: ZAL-5483-2E & ZAL-5484-3E . The outer sleeve is the original lightweight cardboard, flip-back, laminated on the front, spine is pinched top and bottom.  The sleeve notes are dated 1962. Inner sleeve is plain paper.

Grading

Visually graded the vinyl under a task lamp. Would visually grade  as VG+,  there is one set of marks on each side (see photos) and quite a few light marks. It plays well on my Linn Sondek, no skips, jumps or repeated clicks, very little crackle in places. Sleeve is in excellent condition, a little creasing only.

Note that record will be posted in a cardboard record mailer. Sleeve will be in a plastic sleeve, separate from the record and inner sleeve. Record and inner sleeve will be in a card sleeve.

Finally, please note that the posting costs will be as follows
