Description
This is a UK first pressing of Syd Barrett's second and final solo LP 'Barrett' on the green Harvest label without the boxed EMI logo later pressings came with. The laminated cover is graded EXCELLENT lovely and clean with just a few light laminate creases. The flipbacks and 'pinched' spine are perfect.The vinyl is in lovely EXCELLENT PLUS condition. Glossy & barely played, though there is a series of very light hairlines from sleeve removal to Side 1 visible only under very bright light. The labels are lovely and clean. The audio is also stunning just the very lightest of occaisonal background crackle in the quietest of moments, even the run-ins between tracks are almost totally silent. It plays almost as new, amazing for a mostly acoustic LP which is 41 years old now. Comes with it's original Harvest inner depicting other LP's, fully intact though the polythene is now missing, this copy really would be hard to better!
Matrix info: Side 1: SHSP 4007 A-1G, stamper 1 at 5 o' clock. Side 2: A at 12, 1 at 6.30
I have been a collector for any years and a now selling most of my vinyl to fund a change of career. All records are thoroughly cleaned on my ClearAudio Smart Matrix machine and then carefully played on a Rega Planar 3 deck with Goldring cartridge. I use strict RC gradings with plus and minus to indicate variation and all records are sent out in professional mailers.
