There's no need to say what a charming, unique and wonderful solo album this is by Floyd's lost genius. What does need to be said is how superb this French first pressing plays and sounds, we have compared it to the UK first pressing, and there is very little difference to be honest - we concluded that the French pressing must have been mastered from very early generation master tapes from UK EMI, at Pathe Marconi in France, who were known for their excellent mastering and pressing skills. This pressing is vastly superior to the later UK re-presses and re-issues. If you can't afford a genuine UK first pressing then this should suffice as a great listening copy until you can.

MATRIX NUMBERS IN RUN-OFF GROOVES: SIDE A: 4592 A 21C M6 291549 / SIDE B: 4592 B 21C M6 291571

SLEEVE: GRADES BETWEEN EXCELLENT MINUS AND VERY GOOD+ WITH SOME LIGHT SHELF AND EDGE WEAR, MINOR SPOTTING, MINOR CORNER BUMPS, MINOR RING WEAR. INNER HAS SOME MINOR FOXING.

DISC: EXCELLENT MINUS. CLEAN VINYL WITH NO MARKS AND NO NOTICEABLE SPINDLE WEAR, JUST ONE SMALL FINGERNAIL SCUFF ON 'BABY LEMONADE' THAT CLICKED A COUPLE OF REVOLUTIONS - DISC OTHERWISE DOES NOT LOOK PLAYED MUCH AND SOUNDS SUPERB - A REALLY ENJOYABLE LISTENING EXPERIENCE WITH QUIET SIDES AND NO SKIPS OR JUMPS.
