Description
On auction is the debut album of legendary PINK FLOYD guitarist SYD BARRETT who recorded two albums for the "progressive" label HARVEST RECORDS in 1969 & 1970. This is the first of the two albums, titled THE MADCAP LAUGHS and was produced by former Floyd bandmates Roger Waters and David Gilmour, with various tracks, mainly side 1 of the record, produced by Malcolm Jones. A reasonable success with positive reviews, Barrett went back into the studio in 1970 with new material and released BARRETT, the second of the two solo albums, later in the year, with poor sales. Syd never recorded after the solo albums and rarely gigged or wrote and became a recluse. He sadly passed away in 2006.

VINYL - VG+ - SOME SLIGHT WEAR TO SURFACE. SOME SIGNS OF SCRATCHES AND HAIRLINES VISIBLE TO BOTH SIDES. AUDIO HAS SOME SIGNS OF WEAR, LIGHT CRACKLES ON BOTH SIDES, BUT TRACKS ARE QUITE AUDIBLE CONSIDERING AGE & CONDITION OF VINYL
SLEEVE - VG+ - SOME SLIGHT WEAR TO FRONT OF COVER, BACK AND SPINE. LAMINATE STILL INTACT. SOME SLIGHT WEAR TO CORNERS, PROBABLY DUE TO STORAGE. INNER GATEFOLD IS CLEAN AND NO SIGNS OF ANY WEAR. SPINE HAS SLIGHT BEND IN MIDDLE. OVERALL STILL INTACT FOR AGE & CONDITION.
