Title:   “The Madcap Laughs”

Label:   HARVEST RECORDS.  Label is yellow with black text.  Stereo pressing on medium weight vinyl, does not have deep groove.  Catalog number is SHVL 765. 

Very early pressing.  Does not have “EMI” box on labels.  GRAMOPHONE CO. is along the top of the labels. 

Matrix numbers are as follows:

Side 1:  SHVL 765 A-2G    (1, R)

Side 2:  SHVL 7665 B-2G  (1, A)   

Year:  1970.

Condition: 

DISC:  Vinyl is nice VG+ to VG++ with full original gloss, plays closer to VG++.  A few minor scuffs and/or very slight surface marks, most are not audible save for a few isolated soft ticks that do not in any way interfere with the overall listening experience which is excellent throughout.  Fidelity is crisp and clean.  A very fine playing copy.  Labels are clean.

JACKET:  Gatefold jacket is nice VG+.   All panels are clean and bright.  Laminated outer panels have a few places of bubbling of laminate along spine edge.  Inner panels are nice and clean.  Light wear along spine edge and corner tips.  Would grade NM, but there has been some moisture exposure to this jacket, resulting in warping of all panels.  No splits, stickers, writing or cutout indications.
