Description

Ultra rare debut album by legendary Pink Floyd founding member Syd Barrett entitled The Madcap Laughs.
Here finally an old original English first pressing from 1970 on the yellow EMI Harvest label SHVL 765 (without EMI box !!).
Vinyl Stampers SHVL 765 A-2G, resp. SHVL 765 B-2G. Despite its age (53 years old), the record still looks almost like new,
there are only very, very minimal superficial traces of use. Acoustically tested, both sides play absolutely great,
at least M-, actually more mint, which I don't really like to use with such old records.
The FOC gatefold cover (Ernest J. Day & Co Ltd) laminated on the outside is also in great condition,
there are only slight signs of wear (laminate creases). Evaluation of this cover certainly still m-.

I am also including the book of the photo session «The Mick Rock Photo-Sessions Syd Barrett The Madcap Laughs».
This book was published in 1993 (ISBN 1-873884-14-1), the photos were taken in 1969 by British star photographer Mick Rock
and were of course used to design the record cover. The book contains 44 pages in the format 29cm x 29cm with partly black and
white mostly color photos by Syd Barrett. This first edition has been out of print for a long time,
but here it is still in practically new condition!
