SIPOTE / SUITE ... 7-inch, 45rpm single by LOUIS XAVIER & SYNCHRO RYTHMIC ECCLECTIC LANGUAGE. Original French pressing on the DAYVIS SONG RECORDS label (SR 04), from circa mid '70s. Private press afro spiritual jazz / psychedelic funk masterpiece. A killer double-sider led by cult bass player, Louis Xavier with a group featuring Georges Edouard Nouel on wah wah fender rhodes / an unknown trombone player who blows hard a la Fred Wesley / insane congas and sax supremo, Jo Maka. Both sides reissued by Jazzman but our copy is the desirable, original 1st issue with picture sleeve :) Next level, French jazz with a Caribbean West Indies fusion twist. Big record with serious jazz and funk collectors. Great for DJs. SIPOTE is an incredible theme (once featured on a Gilles Peterson radio show) with basslines / keyboards / guitars / drums and percussion to die for. Tons of hypnotic beats and breaks with booming horn section. SUITE opens with a long hypnotic afro / experimental latin intro but soon drops into an even funkier groove with endless breaks and solos. Superior music to the Synchro Rythmic Eclectic Language - Lambi Lp on Moshé Naim featuring Jean-Yves Rigaud. Seldom comes up for sale, especially in top condition, like this copy. Very rare 45!!! Please see our other current auctions for the Baroque Jazz Trio - Orientasie / Largo single

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition (closer to M-) with a few hairlines from sleeve removal. Light surface noises. Small spot of  wear / fading on the outer section of the label to 'Suite' side. The laminated / tactile picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition with light corner wear in places. Some light ring creasing. Old, ink bleeding / faded red colour stains to back sleeve. Very rare 45!!!
