A fundraising auction by Mistletone Records with 100% proceeds donated to Wildlife Victoria for their urgent work caring for injured animals who have lost their habitat in the ongoing devastation of the Australian bushfires.
Anthology Recordings have generously donated a double vinyl edition of Sad About the Times, compiled by Mikey Young (Total Control / Eddy Current Suppression Ring) and Keith Abrahamsson (Anthology Recordings / Mexican Summer), an exploration of 70s FM folk, soft rock, west coast jangle, power pop and late night coke jams. There was a time when there was only so much room at the top, with limited alternatives to mainstream radio for a song to get heard. Every song on Sad About The Times could have been a hit, each with a different flavor, all subtly conveying universal emotions that are hard to describe but easy to feel. Double album housed in printed inner sleeves with liner notes from Mikey Young and artwork by Brian Blomerth.
