Description

Ultra-rare killer afro psych funk from Tanzanian singer Sal Davis. It's a tribute to Qaboos, the Sultan of Oman who is said to have turned his country from a poor, rural society to an oil producing wealthy state in the 1970s (and remained in power from 1970 until his death in 2020). This ode to the sultan was released on Sal's own label, the b-side is a lounge love song with funky drums but the a-side is what it's all about.

This is highly sought after and rarely available - none for sale on discogs or popsike currently, sold twice on discogs in 2019 and nothing since, no history on eBay. Discogs has 7 owning it and 234 wanting it! And this copy is in great condition.

Vinyl - Excellent, plays really well, no visible marks, just light crackle on run-ins/outs. Labels nice and clean.

Sleeve - Very good, crisp edges, clean, very minor creasing and ring marking, very small ding to bottom edge as shown in close-up photo.

I will post within UK only, using proper record mailer and stiffeners to ensure it reaches you as it leaves me. I have listed it with 2nd Class Signed For postage, which is what you will pay for. However, I'll send it by whichever means necessary to fully insure the value, according to selling price. Collection possible from Spondon, near Derby.

Thanks for looking, please have a look at my other listings. Will combine postage as cheaply as possible for multiple purchases.
