Description

Salsa Collectors Item LP.

Work recorded at Ochoa Recording Studio in Puerto Rico and directed by Roberto himself in 1978.

The musical arrangements were in charge of Elías Lopés, Julio Gunda Merced, Louis García, Miguel Flores and Papo Lucca.

Some of the musicians of the Apollo Sound at the time and participants in the recording were Papo Pepín, Lenny Prieto, Cuqui Santos, Lutty Maldonado and Fernando Marcano.

It is worth mentioning that the title that gives name to this album, “El Progreso”, is a composition of Erasmos Carlos and Roberto Carlos

For many, the bulk of this production is found in the two compositions by Catalino Curet Alonso, which are “Lamento de Concepción”, and “Guaguancó del Adiós”.
