Sam and Dave (Stax) - original 1966 performance contract.
A chance to own a truly unique piece of soul music history, regarding one of the most famous male soul duos of all time. From the Walden Artists and Promotions / Paragon estate. Phil Walden was a close friend and business partner of Otis Redding, and was responsible for managing the appearances of most contracted R&B acts from Stax, Atlantic and other labels across the southern states in the 1960s and early 1970s. This contract is for two appearances by Sam and Dave at a venue in Little Rock, Arkansas. The performance dates in February coincides with their Stax recording period. The document outlines the terms, conditions, venue location, rehearsal times and deposit payable by the individual booking the artist.
In very good condition for age. A well preserved item, especially considering this document is over 50 years old. The logo displayed in centre of the photo is to protect the document image for the buyer, and not an integral part of the item.
