Description
On offer here is a copy of Sandy by Sandy Denny, released on the "Pink Rim" Island label in September 1972, catalogue number ILPS 9207.
"Sandy" was recorded during the period November 1971 to May 1972 at the Sound Techniques and Island studios in London, it was produced by Trevor Lucas and engineered by John Wood. The photograph of Sandy Denny on the front cover was by David Bailey.
Guest musicians include Richard Thompson and Dave Swarbrick, with Linda Peters (the future Mrs Thompson) on backing vocals. This was Sandy's second solo album after leaving Fairport Convention and is generally regarded as her best.
The unlaminated gatefold cover is in superb Near Mint condition with just a tiny chip out of the black print at the very bottom of the rear. The inside of the gatefold, with the lyrics in Sandy's handwriting is Mint.
The vinyl has a glossy mirror like shine to both sides and is also Near Mint.
This LP is an original press and never comes up in this sort of great condition, so this is a rare opportunity for someone.
The record will be sent outside of it's cover in a polythene sleeve sandwiched between two 12" cardboard stiffeners in a heavy duty cardboard Record Mailer made by Covers 33.
