Made from a beautiful 11-inch Siam oak shell with a 4.5-inch handpicked rawhide head, this mini conga produces rich tone and sustain. The Comfort Curve II rim with brushed nickel-plated hardware also ensures hours of comfortable playing.All LP brand congas are fitted with tuning lugs manufactured from specially heat-treated high-carbon steel that feature precision-cut threads for smooth tuning, strength, and durability. Due to the enormous amount of stress that is required to tune a conga head, the design of the side plate is crucial. During the tuning process, there is enormous tension pulling on the upper part of the side plate. Because of this, LP brand side plates are wider at the top to distribute the tension from the head and rim over a larger surface area, providing additional durability.
