Description
For sale is Santana's Amigos, originally released in 1976 by Columbia Records in a full-color gate-fold presentation. This is a promotional copy with the radio station timing strip on the front and a gold stamp on the back. In the dead wax between the label and the last track are matrix numbers 1-D/1-H, signifying that an early stamper was used for this first pressing. This results in superior sound quality and is highly sought after by collectors. I bought this record used, cleaned it, then played it carefully on a reference quality turntable and cartridge. One of the first things I do with a new purchase is that I immediately put the album into a protective inner sleeve like a MFSL archival inner sleeve or its equivalent. Doing this protects the integrity of any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have originally come with the release. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of corner rubs, ring wear, and the promotional stamps and strips. The spine has color loss just at the extreme corners. The vinyl is Excellent with faint sleeve marks. This is still the best copy of this record that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find a copy in this condition, being that it has become hard to find. I have more Latin albums, as well as records of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look, as they're almost all in Near Mint condition. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
