Sapo 1974 Bell Records 1st Pressing NM Vinyl – BELL 1301 – Latin Rock Funk

Description

Original 1974 U.S. 1st pressing of Sapo on Bell Records (BELL 1301). Led by Richard Bean, this Bay Area Latin rock band carried the Santana spirit into a funkier, Chicano-soul direction. The album blends Latin percussion, rock guitar, and funk bass lines, delivering heavy grooves on tracks like “Ritmo Del Corazón,” “Been Had,” and “Sapo’s Montuno.” Produced by John Simon, this record has become a sought-after cult classic in the Latin rock and funk collector community.

Pressing details: U.S. first pressing on Bell’s gray labels with black logo and “BELL 1301” catalog number. Runouts are hand-etched BELL-1301-A / BELL-1301-B, consistent with original 1974 Bell mastering.
