The Clear PVC sleeve is in VG+ Condition, the PVC inner is in VG+ Condition, the Booklet & Ticket are in EX Condition and the Record is in EX Condition. Description
Original UK Matrix label stereo press LP.Saturnalia was formed in 1972 and featured former members of Horse, Adrian Hawkins & Rod Roach, with Dutch singer Aletta Lohmeyer. They were brought together by Mark Hanau who had been sacked as manager of Curved Air in 1971. Their debut album was planned to be part of a musical theatre performance at the Rainbow Theatre in April 1973. The picture disc was pressed in Germany under Hanau's direction, but problems producing the disc and its 3D holographic centre labels meant that many copies were returned as faulty.
This is the original picture disc issue with the 3D holographic labels, the booklet, concert ticket, PVC Sleeve and the A-1 B-1 matrices of the first presses.
The PVC sleeve is intact, with a small split on one edge & in VG+ condition, with some discolouration and some light storage rubbing on the cover. The plain pvc inner is intact & in VG+ condition. The booklet & concert ticket are intact and in EX condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible on each side that do not affect play. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of some very faint spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is VG+ to EX, still clear & precise on side 1, with some background noise & distortion on side 2, but with definately no skips, sticks or jumps, overall, still a really good listen. The matrix nos. are; TRIX-1-SP, A-1 stamper ?, TRJX-SPA/1 B-1 stamper ?. This is one of the early copies of the original 1973 UK stereo issue of this album!
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems! All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.

All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
