Description

An original 1st press of BM on the UK Decca label from 1969. Matrix 1A/1A. Stampers 1B/1K - placing this copy amongst the 1st thousand copies to roll off the press. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Moore and Mathes cover. Also included is the original Decca red and white mono inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg/Vg+) In very nice condition and doesn't look to have been abused. Under close inspection I can only make out a few very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly VERYGOOD+ level of playback with one deviation. This copy is not going to hit the top grades, but it is a perfectly decent player at a sensible price. Intros and inbetweens are mostly nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. By and large a very nice player with not all that much to complain at. The audio will sound very appealing, but expect the odd touch of light static occasionally here and there. The only deviation is the first 30 seconds of 'Train To Nowhere' where there's a bit of crackle and clicking. It's only distracting for the 1st 20 seconds and soon starts to dissipate. If you can accept this one aberration the rest of the LP has a more than capable delivery.
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Nice clean an shiny front which has not been abused - just a couple of tiny creases. The rear has escaped the worst of the ageing process - just some light tanning. Edge wear is light and the text on the spine is legible with a few stress creases. Overall the over still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) Slightly faded. No splits or writing though.
