You are bidding for an original 1970 first pressing of "Raw Sienna" Album by Savoy Brown
If you are reading this, the chances are that you already know about the music of Savoy Brown. On the off chance that you don't, this album was made at the same time as many other "prog rock" albums, but Savoy Brown, who had dropped "Blues Band" from their title, had their own style of comtemporary blues.! With Ray Youlden's keyboard work and soulful voice , backed by Kim Simmonds driving guitar, the album is one to savour.
Before I begin, please note I'm NOT a record dealer.!! I’m moving house and have decided that I will sell my record collection that has been sitting in a cabinet doing nothing for the last 40 years !!! I've replaced all my collection electronically, so I'm letting my collection go to those who will collect it and value it more than I do. I give as honest an opinion of the record/condition as I can in simple terms
Most of the albums that I have are first editions, ie I bought them as soon as they were released. That said, if you require any other info to clarify their autenticity, please ask !! This album was bought by myself on it's release in Summer 1970, which is how I can vouch for it's authenticity..
Hopefully I’ve listed all the necessary information below however if you have any questions or queries please ask.
- I would rate the overall condition of the vinyl of this pretty good". The vinyl is not warped and is in clean, bright condition. There is some surface scratching on side 1, but no deep gouges or anything that should affect the playing sound of the record. Side 2 looks in excellent condition.
- The RIM Matrix info is SIDE 1 is XZAL-9575P-1W. SIDE 2 is identical.
- The DECCA labels on both sides are in perfect condition, with no spindle markings on both sides.
- The inner sleeve is still the original polythene DECCA blue edged sleeve, denoting a Stereo recording. It's in excellent condition.
- The sleeve is in excellent condition overall. There are some scuffs and wear marks on the outer edges and corners. The spine is perfectly readable, with some scuffing. Other than that, the main surfaces of the sleeve outside and in are in really excellent condition.
- As I said, I'm not an expert on record conditioning, but as a 100% ebayer, I always try to be objectively truthful and honest in all descriptions. I will send out by the best value I can get for the postage charged, and will securely wrap. I will always get proof of postage. but If you want special next day delivery, I'm happy to agree that with you before you send me the payment. The choice is yours ! Paypal only please, or cash on collection.
- If you are bidding from overseas, in the interest of all parties for the sake of a few quid, I usually send by Airmail "signed for" delivery. But if you just want me to send to you by any other cheaper method, then I will, but will not take responsibiIity for delivery. I have no intention of getting into any delivery disputes. When it goes over my Post Office counter and I get a bit of paper to that effect, then it's yours for ever !!! Please ask me for a quote before paying. .
