Description
Scarce original 12" vinyl LP by Bayete (Todd Cochran) entitled "Worlds Around The Sun" from 1972. It is on the Prestige Records label (Catalog #PRST 10045) and is a white label promotional copy (made for radio DJs). There are a number of other musicians of note on the album, including Hadley Caliman (flute & tenor sax) and Bobby Hutcherson (vibes & marimba).
The record is in VG condition--well-played, with some loss of gloss, light surface scuffs & minor surface noise. The recording is of excellent quality and the pressing is dynamic, so during the louder parts it sounds really good, but there's just enough surface noise to be mildly annoying between tracks and during the quieter passages. Still quite listenable and enjoyable overall, though, and a cool collector's item! The sleeve is in VG- condition--it has significant ringwear, edge wear, and overall wear. There's also an old price written in black sharpie in the upper right corner and a mark from a price tag. (Please see photos for greater detail.)

LP will be shipped outside the jacket in a cardboard record mailer. I grade vinyl using Goldmine standards as a guide and Near Mint is my highest grade for preowned vinyl. I am a longtime record collector (not a store), and I ship Monday-Friday. I have only one copy of most items in my inventory.
Please know that vinyl is an imperfect medium, and new vinyl (especially colored vinyl and picture discs) can be subject to minor surface noise and/or imperfections. I rate sealed vinyl "mint" but, as any seasoned record buyer knows, pressing quality will vary.
