VINYL –

Nice sheen. Plays beautifully and conveys very well the rich dynamics of the music – from beautiful crystal clear passages through richly dramatic episodes to thunderous crescendos. Slight click for opening minutes of Side 1 and occasional slight random background crackle but insignificant and in no way detrimental to listening pleasure. Side 1  Visual and Audio overall both rate at least EX-. Side 2  EX

SLEEVE:

Original laminated flipback sleeve. Front in excellent condition, spine intact and legible, laminate intact, opening sharp, minimal rubbing of edges.

However at some juncture masking tape has been added to reinforce flipbacks at top and bottom of rear (not sure why as they seem fine). Subsequently some attempt made at removal. See close-up photos. Further reinforcement could be applied or whoever buys it could live with it – my preferred option as the text is unaffected and the sleeve retains its integrity, is perfectly functional and looks absolutely fine from the front and side. Rating VG+

Housed in the original FFSS poly lined inner sleeve in excellent condition with no rips, splits or tears (creases at corners as shown in photos)

I use a slight variant on RC gradings (see below) but tend to grade conservatively because, firstly, as a collector myself, I know how frustrating it is to receive ‘over-graded’ items and, secondly, I am having a clearout over the coming months (years?) and wish to maintain and develop a good reputation. I never grade a used record as Mint as that is a contradiction in terms. All of my records have been play tested.

All records have been cleaned with a Moth machine.

I will endeavour to post all items within 2 working days of Paypal payment (or cheque clearing). Price quoted covers Royal Mail signed for delivery with suitably robust and well-protected packaging.

While I describe items as honestly and accurately as I can (and use photos of the actual items), a refund is guaranteed if you are not satisfied with the items as described.  This has not been necessary to date and my feedback has been 100% positive.

Thanks for looking.

Record Collector Grading System:

M = Mint: Never been played or item still sealed. Cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster (ie contents) are in perfect condition.

Ex = Excellent: Shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VG = Very Good: Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.

Gd = Good: Sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.

Fair: Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor: Will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. Cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

I also use Plus (+) or Minus (-) to allow for items that fall between the above grades.
