Description
Released in 1982, Blackout is one of the most famous albums by German hard rock band Scorpions and a defining record of early-80s heavy metal. The album features major tracks such as “No One Like You,” “Blackout,” and “Dynamite,” which helped the band break into the American mainstream.
This copy is a U.S. Mercury Records pressing (SRM-1-4039). The deadwax includes SRM-1-4039-AS-REV-HPM-1, a MASTERDISK stamp, and what appears to be HW initials, indicating mastering work from the Masterdisk facility used on many original pressings.
Additional etched markings include scratched-out C and B, a dash and directional arrow marking, and other small symbols consistent with production notes from the cutting process.
The vinyl shows visible wear but plays well throughout, making it a solid listening copy of this classic metal album. The original printed inner sleeve is mostly missing, with only a fragment remaining, and the record is now stored in a protective sleeve.
