Description
You're looking at a test pressing for the Screeching Weasel single/7"/EP "Jesus Hates You." There are only a handful of these that exist. This record was put out as a picture disc by Probe Records in the 1990s. As you can see, the test press was printed on standard black vinyl. This 7" features Screeching Weasel doing killer punk rock cover tunes.
A test press (or test pressing) is made at the pressing plant and then sent to the record label/band to ensure that the record sounds ok before it is authorized for a full pressing. Typically, between 5 and 20 test presses are made. It's estimated fewer than 10 were made for this record.
I acquired this test pressing directly from Screeching Weasel frontman Ben Weasel and it has been played once while in my possession.
