Seals and Crofts were an American soft rock duo made up of James "Jim" Seals (born October 17, 1941) and Darrell "Dash" Crofts (born August 14, 1940). They are best known for their Hot 100 No. 6 hits "Summer Breeze" (1972), "Diamond Girl" (1973), and "Get Closer" (1976).
The duo disbanded in 1980. They reunited briefly in 1991–1992 and again in 2004, when they released their final album, Traces.
Both members have long been public advocates of the Bahá'í Faith.
Diamond Girl is the fifth studio album by pop/folk duo Seals and Crofts. It was released in 1973 on Warner Bros. Records.
The album contains a number of different musical styles and themes. "Nine Houses" is one of two intimate, religious songs, which the band would often reserve for after concert performances.[1]
Diamond Girl peaked at #4 on the U.S. album charts.[3] Its title track reached #6 on theBillboard Hot 100 chart in the summer and #13 in Canada. The follow-up single "We May Never Pass This Way (Again)" attained the #21 position late in the year (#33 in Canada).
