Description

You are bidding on the rare LP:

Seoda Ceoil: Sean O' Ceallaigh, Willie Clancy, Sean O' Conaire, released by gael-linn (CEF18A/B) (TAOBH 1/2) in 1968.  Made in Ireland!

*This absolutely fantastic Irish LP showcases the traditional music played by older masters from County Claire.  This includes 6 selections of Willie Clancy on the uilleann pipes and 2 of him playing the tin whistle.  Clancy's piping is so damn dynamic and glorious that I guarantee it will make your mouth drop!  This is the raw type of traditional piping that is beyond-masterful, transcendental and incredibly spontaneous.  Sean O' Ceallaigh performs 6 tunes on the fiddle and 3 on the concertina.  His fiddling is very rough and utterly beautiful, often sounding like Appalachian field recordings, which make a lot of sense, considering the musical connections between the two regions.  This rare LP also features two solo vocal performances in the Irish language by Sean O' Conaire.*

The thick Vinyl is visually-graded in VG+ condition. When looked at under a bright light, the record shows a very rich luster and a few, very light surface marks.

The Cover is graded in VG condition, showing a fair amount of crease wear and some very minor edge & ring wear.

Shipping is calculated by ebay at the actual cost for you, the consumer. I don't charge any extra fees for material or handling. Please note that my shipping costs have gone up ever so slightly, to more accurately reflect what the Post Office charges, especially with international shipping. I am making some slight adjustments with ebay's calculated shipping to more accurately reflect the actual rates. Thanks.

For combined shipping, please add $1 for each additional LP you purchase. If you buy many records from me, I can ship them all together in one box, and charge you the actual cost I pay at the post office. International customers, please keep in mind that once you reach 4 pounds (roughly 4 LPs+), 1st Class International is no longer a shipping option, and you must ship Priority or Express.

Insurance is your option as a buyer. International customers, please keep in mind that you can only insure your item if you ship Express, which can be very expensive. Please contact me if you would prefer this option.

Please take a look at my other auctions.  I'll be starting off my listings this week with a handful of very rare 45's (Doo-Wop, Rockabilly, early R&B and Northern Soul).  I'll then be listing a large batch of rare LPs, featuring Country (original black label King releases, pedal steel wonders & private press Bluegrass treasures), traditional Irish LPs (some very very fantastic releases) and some Blues rarities (as I usually do).  Once this is done, I'll likely be moving on to a very large, eclectic selection of rare CDs, many of which are American Roots Music, including many releases from the revered Alan Lomax collection.  All of my listings are auctions beginning at $4.95 with no reserve, and these fantastic releases are the real-deal, with the utmost quality. Thanks!

Feel free to ask me any questions you might have. Please communicate with me via ebay messages, not e-mail.
