Description
Original blue-green label From the the "Kenton Presents Jazz" series. Record in NYC in 1955. The Serge Chaloff Sextet includes Chaloff, baritone sax; Boots Mussulli, alto sax; Herb Pomeroy, trumpet; Ray Smith, bass; Everett Evans, bass; Ray Santisi, piano; Jimmy Zitano, drums. 10 tracks.
Cover: Good+ Scotch tape applied to the entire spine. 4" narrow tear horizontally on the top margin of the back cover through Stan Kenton's imprinted signature. 1" scotch tape has been applied near the tear. 4 1/2" scotch tape repair on the bottom edge; 1" scotch tape repair on the top edge at the insert edge. The tape shows aging on the back cover. Light aging on the back cover.
Record: Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are a very few, light brush-like surface rub marks on Side B. These are barely visible and do not affect the sound. There are 4 or 5 very light clicks on Track 2, Side B. No other surface noise. I have added dthe (-) but, essentially, the record plays as Mint. Fine copy. Moderately heavy vinyl pressing. Audibly checked.
