The daughter of an official at the Mexican consulate, Lina Romay worked with Xavier Cugat before being discovered by MGM. The Studio made as much use of her Latin heritage as they did her good looks. She appeared in both photoreal and live-action form in the Droopy cartoon "Senor Droopy" (1949). She performed for a time with Xavier Cugat before eventually retiring. These radio shows come from 1952-53 when she had her own radio show which was broadcast out to the troops via the AFRS.
