Severo Barrera Vázquez:
Nace en 1955 en Cd. Miguel Alemán, Tamaulipas, a los 13 años inicia sus estudios de guitarra en Cd. Victoria, con el maestro
Héctor Tamez, de donde adquiere la pasión por los estudios dirigidos que complementa con la práctica autodidacta.
A los 23 años ingresa en el Conservatorio Nacional de Música de la Cd. de México, teniendo entonces como maestro a Guillermo
Flores Méndez, posteriormente, viaja a España donde amplía sus conocimientos y destreza en el Real Conservatorio de Música de
Madrid, con el maestro Demetrio Ballesteros. Entre otras actividades, que lo ubican como un auténtico profesional de la guitarra,
están sus conocimientos de composición musical que adquirió con el maestro Humberto Hernández Medrano.
Además de ofrecer recitales en diversas salas de México, imparte clases de guitarra clásica y se dedica a la composición.
