Description
Hi, and welcome to my auction. Please read the listing in full before bidding. Sex Pistols - God Save The Queen/Did You No Wrong Rare 1977 New Zealand 7" PS. Diff colour to the UK release (more purple than royal blue) and the Queen image is smaller. The B side on the label is also mis-titled Do you no wrong. Catalogue no. Virgin NZ VS181. Condition - Sleeve - Very worn (see scan.) Top and bottom edges have large seam splits. There's also a repaired tear on the top right hand corner of the front of the sleeve. Lots of overall creasing. Condition - Vinyl - Fair bit of wear and signs of play, so VG. Clean labels. Okay, so it's not in great in condition, but still a rare and desirable foreign Pistols release. Low start off price with no reserve. Please note that that I don't own a record player these days, so gradings are visual only. Winning bidder pays postage and packing. UK £3.00(Recorded Delivery), Europe (Standard Airmail)£4.00, USA/Japan/Australia (Standard Airmail)£5.00 Elsewhere e mail for a quote. Insured/Recorded delivery extra. Important - Shipping prices take into account my selling costs (ebay and pp) and time and are non-negotiable. If you don't want to pay the shipping prices listed, please don't bid. It's as simple as that. Thankyou. Payment within the UK by Paypal, personal cheque or Postal order. Outside UK Paypal only. Please note that I do not accept any responsibilty for loss or damage to items sent uninsured/unregistered. If you require insurance on the goods or wish for the goods to be signed for at your end, you must request insurance/recorded delivery and pay an additional quoted cost. Please e mail with any questions. Happy Bidding!
On 20-Sep-09 at 15:22:00 BST, seller added the following information:It's been pointed out to me that the original 1977 issue of this NZ release would have different light blue Virgin labels. Upon closer inspection of the label, I've missed the fact that it states '1979 Virgin Records.
The back of the sleeve states '1977 Virgin Records.'
It's been suggested that the red and green label '79 issue did not have a PS. I purchase this record second hand in this condition about fifteen years ago complete the PS. Therefore, I don't know whether some were issued with a sleeve or someone has married up the sleeve with the vinyl at a later date.
Any questions, please drop me a line.
