PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION IN FULL FIRST!!<<<
An original 1st Stereo press from August 1968. Matrix 1/1. Please note 1st pressing would be on Parlophone [Yellow text] label - and Sold In The UK statement MUST be present. But if that wasn't enough for you this example is actually a copy from the VERY 1st stamper employed by EMI - 1G/1G.. there ain't ANY going earlier than that.!! The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Stereo [stickered] cover with exposed flipbacks. We also have the correct black and white EMI advertising inner sleeve it would have been purchased with. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition and has only seen reasonably light use. A few light marks per side, only one noticeably visible semi-feelable mark across track 1. ALL fully tested and this mark does sound very early in Track1 - see detail below. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with a few deviations [as detailed below]. By and large  a really nice player. If you need to hear this title as originally envisaed from a great copy - you could do a LOT worse than what this example can dish out. Pretty clean by and large - so you are unlikely to hear much background within the audio tracks. Perhaps a bit of background in some of those quieter moments like 'Happiness'. But generally a pretty clean rendition - so you can crank it right up without annoying background interfering distorting the delivery. Now, there are a few marks in the odd spot - so it is by no means a perfect player. The most visible is the one that spans track 1. Thankfully we seem to have got off pretty lightly. It is only really noticeable in Lord's organ swirling intro. You'll get a few ticks/clicks in this section - as soon as everyone else switches on and starts blasting.(i.e. The track/music starts for real).. it disappears. There's 4-5 minor ticks during HUSH - but it otherwise plays sweet. I also detected a couple of clicks midway through RAINY DAYS. Well those are the issues with side 1 - barring those issues it plays up around NEAREX [S1]. Side 2 - is easier to grade as there is precious little to take issue with. I'd say NEAREX all the way through. Very little to find fault with on Side 2. Crank it up and relive '68 like it was yesterday<<
Cover (Vg+) In impressive shape particularly given the vintage. Very nice clean and unaged front - with a few thumbnail creases at the opening. The rear is looking real nice too. First thing to note is that Red marking over at the opening. This appears to be a print fault from '68. I've taken an internal shot of the cover which appears to show a red stripe. Some of this has bled through at the opening on the rear. All flipbacks are intact and secure. The rear is otherwise unworn and pretty unaged. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. No splits.
