redgarnett Store ITEM DESCRIPTION:
This handsome gatefold LP from Telarc (DG-10039, German pressing, red/black label, DDD Soundstream recording) features Robert Shaw and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and Chorus’ resplendent performances of Stravinsky’s l’Oiseau de feu (The Firebird, vers. 1919) and Borodin’s Overture and Polovetsian Dances from Prince Igor, recorded on 19 and 20 June 1978 at Symphony Hall, Atlanta – one of the first digital recordings to have been made. CONDITION – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.
The condition of the jacket is VERY GOOD. There is a edgewear, more so at corners and along the open edge. However, there are no seamsplits, bends, owners’ markings, or other defects, and the album remain solid, bright, and highly attractive – overall, still a very good collector's copy.
The condition of the LP itself is EXCELLENT. There is a cluster of small scratches at the beginning of Side 2, but they do not affect play and the surfaces remain silent. Aside from this cosmetic flaw and some faint spindle trails, the LP is fine. Playback rates as NM, but I am grading it at excellent due to those minor cosmetic blemishes.

This LP has been carefully cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine. All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve.
