Thelma Houston "I've Got The Music In Me" LAB-2 Sealed Sheffield Lab Direct to Disk recording - Sealed, never opened. Purchased when first issued in 1974. Properly stored, unopened, in my personal collection since.
Recordings of Live performances have a sound and presence much different from the typical studio recording, with a feeling that you are sitting there with the performers. That for me was the feeling I had when I first listened to this record way back in 75... and still today. The range and power of Thelma Houston's voice and dynamic range on this recording are incredible. If you've never heard her rendition of I've got the music in me, go to YouTube and search for this recording on the Sheffield Lab disk. If you think it sounds good over YouTube and the internet, think about being played off the record on a good turntable / audio system. At my age now, I don't need back up unopened albums, so time for someone else to enjoy. Thanks for looking.
