Real nice original Dutch copy of one of the best early seventies UK folk rock LP. Has a very similar sort of sound and atmosphere to Sandy Denny’s solo albums of the same era and even includes backing from a lot of the same musicians. Richard Thompson, Dave Mattacks, Pat Donaldson, Ian Whiteman, Danny Thompson etc creating lovely melancholic electric folk rock which is just the perfect backing for McDonald’s rich clear expressive voice. Lovely album.
UK copies of this album have totally disappeared over the last few years, Dutch copies are if anything even rarer so this lovely copy would be a nice alternative way to own the marvellous music.

Condition: Sleeve
Standard single sleeve design made from thickish card laminated front and back.
The front sleeve is in real nice condition, very clean, no tears, no writing, no creasing, no ringwear or any other type of wear. The lamination is clear and bright with a nice reflective surface, just a tiny (and I do mean tiny) amount of lifting near the spine which is nothing to worry about. The only other thing I have to mention is the presence of a small circular hole punched in the top right corner (in the Philips logo) why this was done why knows? A deletion mark? Nothing can be done about it though.
The rear sleeve is also in fine shape, that punch hole is now in the top left corner but the sleeve is clean with no other damage or wear.
Both top and bottom seams are totally unworn.
The spine is clean and unworn with all of the writing clearly readable.

Condition: Record
The record itself is in lovely condition. It’samde from fairly thin vinyl but is a good clean pressing which reproduces the music very well. The vinyl itself is extremely clean and has a lovely dark sheen with no visible surface marks of any type either in normal light or when examined closely under a very harsh lamp.
Both labels are very clean and free from any sort of wear or damage.
When played the record sits perfectly flatly on the turntable with no hint of warping or unevenness. The sound is clean and clear with little or nothing to distract you from the fine music it contains. There’s no noticeable surface noise at all anywhere on the disc, no pops, clicks or crackles, no distortion or groovewear, no jumping or sticking. This is just a real nice copy of a scarce LP which contains some great music finding a better copy (from any country) will be tough.
